MEMORY IN TRANSIT

Becoming one voice, Teresa Aninat and Catalina Swinburn transform an object into the memory it once was. In the current phase of their open work, a pair of transparent suitcases embodies the memory of a house gone forever. Only minimal trances represent what once was: fragmented tiles from the floor and ceiling of man’s habitat. These ruins remain protected, encapsulated within transparent acrilic boxes. That way it can continue it’s journey, freeing itself from fatal oblivion. Once again, lost existence finds shelter in the lap of regained memory.
